Tiefengrund German Shepherds
Home: Welcome

As a child, I grew up listening to stories of my dad's two German Shepherds, Buck and Lady. His tales of their intelligence and loyalty inspired me and I knew that one day, I would own a German Shepherd too.
I acquired my first German Shepherd, Kaiser, in the winter of 2018, and so began my adventure with this unparalleled breed.
The German Shepherd Dog is truly one of the most intelligent, loyal, and trainable dogs I have ever had the good fortune to own.
We at Tiefengrund Shepherds pride ourselves on raising healthy, trainable, and loyal dogs. We delight in maintaining an ongoing relationship with all our puppy families. We believe that anyone who wants to or dreams of owning a German Shepherd should have the opportunity to have one of these amazing animals in their life.
All our breeding stock is registered with the Canadian Kennel Club and health tested prior to breeding. We certify hips and elbows through OFA, PennHip, and/or SV. DNA testing is done through Embark, Gensol, or Neogen.
Our puppies are raised with a puppy development program which focuses on early neurological stimulation, and exposing the puppies to many different experiences before they leave for their homes at 8 weeks old.
Our puppies are vaccinated and de-wormed multiple times before leaving. They also come with a 2 year health guarantee and lifetime breeder support. We take pride in our dogs and do our best to place them in the most suitable homes where they will be loved as part of the family.
Prospective puppy families are welcome to come and visit our home and meet our dogs. We always welcome visits from our previous puppies as well.
Our dogs are fed a high quality kibble, Inukshuk Professional dog food, which is a Canadian manufactured brand, as well as raw meat and bones.
Our dogs are inside-outside dogs, spending time in their large dog run while we are at work and lying at our feet in the house in the evenings. They are part of our daily life and accompany us whenever possible.
